Standing on top of a 40+meter high wind turbine above Hamburg, Germany sounds exactly how I was feeling up there – incredible. Having access to unique environments is the greatest asset of photography. It allows me to transmit stories to the outer world while I accompany experts, engineers and workers in their everyday labour. Often, this focuses on work which many people rarely have any insight into. In short, photography helps my clients present their services better.
The assignment with Dr Augustin Umwelttechnik (portfolio), for instance, is just one example where labour of a niche workspace is presented. Further examples are found in my assignments with the police, hospitals and in my series about life and work on a cargo vessel (link).
