Offshore Sailing is certainly one of the most photogenic subjects. For many, this embodies the pure meaning of sailing. It is defined by strong winds, high waves and action on the one hand and long – sometimes infinite distances – on the other. It takes sailing back to its original roots in the open sea.
Unlike Olympic Sailing where all boats are classified, in Offshore Sailing there are often no limits in boat design, boat sizes and crew power. Basically, it offers the perfect playground for us sailing photographers to get the best calendar shots.
This chapter of Inshore and Offshore Sailing represents around the world races, Mini 6.5 campaigns, Rolex Fastnet Race, ORC UP & Downs, and many more stories.
